Manawa Karioi has an extensive network of tracks. Foremost is the main loop track that starts/finishes at the interpretation board shelter at the Tapu Te Ranga Marae carpark (up the driveway at the end of Danube St).
The main loop track is approximately 1.5km long. It has link tracks to provide other access points from the end of Rhine St, with Tawatawa reserve/City to Sea Walkway, and with the Berhampore golf course.
Several tracks through the centre of Manawa Karioi provide short cuts to various points along the main loop track, and a couple lead to lookout points.
Union Road is a historic track built about 100 years ago to provide access for the construction of the water reservoir to provide water to the Home of Compassion.
We have officially opened a new track that links Tawatawa reserve with the City to Sea walkway across the Berhampore golf course.
Please note that all Marae buildings and areas around them are off-limits to the public.
Check out more details about the tracks here.
