Commemorative and Whenua Planting at Manawa Karioi

Commemorative and whenua plantings at Manawa Karioi are a special way of connecting your loved one to the land.

We can suggest what eco-sourced species are best, favoured species being iconic, long-lived, relatively tall and somewhat shade tolerant species, especially tōtara, rimu, matai, miro and nikau. Planting will need to take place between May and October (when it's not too dry).

We will help find a great location that suits the tree and that can easily be visited in the future. Also, we can provide advice and help with the planting to ensure the best chances of longtime survival of the tree.
